this is ridiculously pathetic yet funny. I’ve gotten a rib tattoo, one on my upper inner arm and my knuckles and the only one that hurt considerably was my knuckle one. Idk if my tolerance is just high but man if I did tattoos I’d kick both of these people out in a second. I have two more tats but they really didn’t hurt.

I am female, and have had my tongue pierced for almost 6 years, holy shit I did not realize it’s been that long ๐Ÿ™‚ anyhow, I have never been seen as remotely slutty so I don’t think getting the piercing really changes a persons perception of a girl. The way I see it is if a female is seen as a slut with a tongue ring I almost guarantee you she was seen as one before she got it. The pain of getting a tongue piercing is relative as are most things but it shouldn’t be too bad.
Healing wise I’m not sure how fast it should close up but in that regard people are different. I use a flexible plastic tongue ring and plastic balls and have never chipped teeth or anything of the sort. Now and then I bite my tongue ring by accident but it’s not often or that annoying. Also when it comes to talking the first few days you need to take care of it a lot, use mouthwash whenever you eat, avoid smoking and drinking alcohol at least for a little, and the swelling goes down soon. I don’t have any lisp so most people don’t even know I have one til i mention it.

I, like many, stare out of curiosity. It’s interesting to see what other people have gotten. Personally I only have 1 tattoo that’s actually noticeably visible when wearing regular clothes and it’s an r2d2 on my inner left arm and I get tons of people asking me about it in a good way. Star wars fans love it lol, parents tell me their kids would really like it, people ask me if it hurt because of where it is or if I just got it (got it 2 yrs ago so that comment is really nice to hear lol).

I think it’s really cool that they have the guy you asked has a sensible view on the issue. It pisses me off when simple jobs (starbucks for example) hold such a strict regulation on appearance. I worked there for 3 years and had to take piercings out on a daily basis and cover up my arm tattoo once i got it. If you can get the tat you want with no negative impact on your career then have fun doing so ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve actually continued using the Palmer’s skin lightening cream on my tattoo and I think it’s helped. It’s still visible but even my brother told me the other day that it looks lighter. There is a warning that it shouldn’t be used for more than a 6 week period but hopefully it keeps helping til i reach that time ๐Ÿ™‚

[lang=en]Damn… thanks for replying though.

I was thinking maybe if I tan enough it won’t be as noticeable cause since I’m pretty white right now that might be a reason it shows so much. And exposure to sunlight generally fades tattoos, I just don’t know how well it fades uv tattoos.[/lang]
