i’m not taking the risk of using a normal towel… i’m using paper towels to prevent the risk of infection… 🙂

Sometimes the itching is kinda good LoooL

i guess my body has a slow healing process cause i’ve read here in the forum that most people at day 4 starts to itch a lot and to peel…

i’m leaving wednesday back to my home country, i guess i’ll go meet the artist for her to see the tattoo and recomend any changes in my aftercare…

i’m on my day 4 of the new tattoo and i still don’t have any flaking or itchy… i think i’ll stop putting lotion 2 times a day and just put 1 time…

when i pat the tattoo after shower i still notice a little ink coming off…

like Parademic said the body does all the healing for itself… the lotion and everything else it’s just a help u can provide, but if u provide too much it can ruin your tattoo…

Yeah, there’s a lot of different ways to treat a new tattoo and that’s the main cause to have so many people confused about it (like me)… i’m just washing it one time in the morning and another in before going to bed… leaving it to dry out for 30min before putting a little amount of lotion…

But i think i’ll stop washing 2 times a day, to only wash it when i normally take a shower (1 time a day)… lotion i’l continue to put cause i don’t like the feeling of the skin streching to much… We’ll see how it goes…

In a few day i’ll put another photo for you all to see how it’s coming up 🙂

Thank u all for all your advices… it certainly had maked me less nervous 🙂

It isn’t itchy at all, just a few times and it’s nothing insuportable… i’m putting lotion cause i feel the wings area a bit dry.. when i move my arms i feel the skin streching a little bit and i don’t want to crack the thin rough layer i have there…

I guess that area is creating more scabs cause it was the area the artist had a more heavier hand to fill all the lines with ink…

It looks like it is healing just fine. It looks like you will have a couple of scabbed areas just remember to never pick at it.

The tattoo look reasonable well done. Oh and congrats on your first

Thanks 🙂

Just an advise… should i put more lotion? i’m putting 3 times a day a small amount…

Don’t worry about getting it “right,” just keep it clean and use fragrance free lotion. My artist over-worked some areas on both of mine, so I couldn’t keep those parts from scabbing. Now that the scabs are coming off I’m seeing spots where touchups will need to be done. Touchups are free and it’s always fixable, so don’t stress so much about it if it happens.

The tattoo as a layer above the skin level that is hard and rough… is that scabs? and when i put the lotion i see some ink coming off… is that a sign that i have to wash it better?

Hmm there’s a problem in the free touchups… i’ve made my tattoo in Canada where i am just in vacantions and next week i’m returning to my home country (Portugal) and i’ve been told that artists don’t like to touchup other artists tattoos… i’ll ask back home if they can do anything if i need but of course i’ll have to pay for it…

do you wash the tattoo every time u put the lotion? today i only washed the tattoo one time and the lotion one time too… i want to put lotion again in the middle of the afternoon but i don’t want to wash it again to keep it away from the water…
