I saw the full moon out there and felt really bad for GCL (if she’s working it).
But now I feel even worse for Butt. Sorry, man.

Sorry, BW.

Nope, now I’m off for a week. But I overslept, telling Dad we’d go buy liquor and I’d be there at 8 AM. Woke up at 10.

“there is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….

I’m an atheist/satanist but I’d love to believe my lost pets were in a place like that <3
I’ve had to put three dogs to sleep, and it fucking kills me. Lost the last one in May, and I still cry whenever I think of her. Hell, writing this makes me cry.
I’ve been so lucky to have three wonderful dogs with so utterly different personalities. My last dog, when I went through a terrible breakup when I was 18, she just lay there next to me, in my bed, for three days. She usually kept to the living room and would be very demanding about getting attention, but while I was heartbroken… Nothing. She just laid there, next to me. Looking after me, cuddling me and being there. That’s when I understood how strong her instincts were!!
Amazing. Sorry about your cat <3 Pets are awesome, and loosing them is pure hell.
Pox, that’s too much loss for any person. ๐
I have to leave around 1 PM or so to get Mom from the airport. I feel like no amount of rest can prepare me.
Yesterday my dog had a really good day, even tried to catch a crow while we were out for a walk. Then later she found a stuffy and played a new revised version of fetch where I throw it, she runs and touches it with her nose then waits for me to come get it and throw again. I guess she doesn’t like the feel of it in her mouth now that her teeth are gone. But it was her first interest in a toy in a month so we both had fun.
But right now she’s cuddled next to me and having brief convulsions from low blood sugar. Again. She ate a little bit an hour ago but it must have been too little or too late. So 5 minutes ago at the first sign of trouble she got a spoon of yoghurt with a touch of syrup and a handful of kibble. Should get the bg back up pretty quick.
I hate that she keeps feeling like this. But I’m here to make her feel better.
Aw, it’s horrible when pets are sick :/ My dog was feeling bad last week, throwing up, having diarrhea and no interest in food. Luckily she recovered, and we just gave her easily digested food for a few days. Cooked fish was a good one, and puppy food ๐ Hope your dog gets better!

Andrea and George are visiting her parents today. (I have to work) It’s always tough. (This past week her mom was on the phone. In the 5 min. conversation, her mom told her 4 times she was watching “A Little House on the Prairie”)

You know a great food for dogs with diabetic/pre-diabetic symptoms: White rice and chicken breast. They love it!
Your dog is so lucky to have you to love her.

Oh, my mom stole 5k from me, money from my dad, stuff from my grandma (as well as money), and my parents are getting a divorce. She had no one to pick her up because she’s alienated everyone.
She tells me she’s moving out of the house in 4-6 weeks. I tell her I’ll help her on some off weeks. She sticks her nose in the air and says, “I have my sons to help me.” (I’m the only one who can get along with Dad.) Then she launches into a tirade about Dad. I tell her I’ll tell her what I told him, I don’t want another bad word about either parent. I’m done. He hasn’t asked that she work for their whole 41 year marriage. He’s never hit her. He’s supported all three of his kids through college. He offered to pay her way through college to make her a self-sufficient woman. They have a paid for home and a nice life. She’s willing to throw that away. Why? “Because he doesn’t care about family.”
I won’t go into it, but I’m just done. No more favors. If she needs me when things get rough, okay. But I’m done.
She just had the geriatric panel run, and didn’t come back as diabetic. I originally thought the episodes were from renal failure, then after the tests said everything looks normal for an older dog I thought it was because she wasn’t eating enough because of her teeth. They were removed 6 weeks ago but the episodes keep happening, and I’m getting as much food into her as I can. Clearly something isn’t working right. I guess it’s time for another trip to the vet.
The vet wants her on lower protein because she is in pre-kidney disease, but I am giving her anything she’ll eat. Canned, kibble, baby food, yoghurt. She likes yams so I’m cooking some tonight to mash into her food. Make it more palatable. Her food has to be blended into a slurry until her jaw heals. And don’t bother offering her the same thing more than once a day, she just won’t have it. Princess.
But it beats dealing with difficult parents. By a long shot. Tonight I’ll be thankful for that.
What about rice baby food with a little baby food meat for seasoning?
I have the best luck ever. Fool around with hot dude who lives in a different country – find out he has a girlfriend – tell him off, but figure “not my problem”, and hope he mans the fuck up and pretty disappointed because I finally met someone hot I got really well along with and ofc he’s a douche with a girlfriend, who lives in a different country. Just to sum up all the reasons that was a terrible idea.
Aaaaand suddenly him and his girl are moving to town. And oh, he’s ofc gonna work in a shop I get inked at frequently and suddenly we’re in the same social circle.
Oh this is gonna be so awkward. Only bright side to this, is I hope I get to know his girl, because I’m terrible at keeping secrets ๐

I’m guessing that if you can’t keep secrets, you’ll get to know his girlfriend pretty quick.
