Ok so im getting a tattoo on my chest its just going to be lettering but i would like some type of background behind it maybe?, or some type of design or something going through it. Does anybody have any good ideas that they could throw to me? The words are going to be a memorial for my grandpa who was murdered. I would like it to say. Fear No Man, Protect Your Family, Die With Honor, R.I.P.

Well, give us more info.

What will the lettering be? Will it be in plain text or cursive etc? Base it on your personality. I’m using your username as an example here, I assume you enjoy skateboarding, so, depending on the word(s) you could get it on the bottom of a skateboard? Or have it as graffiti on a brick wall.

But you need to give more info if we can help out.

Fear No Man
Protect Your Family
Die With Honor
R.I.P.
Thats what i would like it to say but i guess im open to any other phrases at this time.

But i would like those words to be encorporated into something somehow.

Any Suggestions??

That’s alota words to throw on your chest. It could work if you go big… but are you sure you want all this at being 16? [assuming you’re 16 cause your screenname has 1993 in it]

What about going with a big chest piece.
-Have a bannerstart with fear no man on the left side of your collar bone. Then protect your family on the right.
And have die with honor in the middle and RIP underneath.

And you could have a bunch of old school stuff in there….. but just include things meaninful to you.

And like I tell everyone, just go to the artist and throw your ideas at him and see what he comes up with.

Lol, read the whole thing over again.
I’m talking about a CHEST PIECE… taking up you’re entire chest.
-Both side of the collar bones, and the middle of the sternum.

I think you have a good general concept going, and they artist could really run with it.
As for the stlye of writing; fit it to the piece you want.

right, i dont want to help but i think your probably a bit serious – you seem like you want a tattoo to make you look tough – if not then sorry.

I dont see where the words R.I.P – Fear no man and die with honor fit in, how do they relate to yourself? youve gotta be pretty big to pull those words off. i recommend dont get them – theres not really an image to go with the 3 of them either.

i say go with a full chest piece too! I like the idea of old school….just bring your idea to your artist and im sure you’ll get something figured out! dont worry about what others say, its going on your body!!

Well… You’ve got two big problems, as far as I see it;

You’re sixteen year old boy. You are going to grow, quite a bit too, most likely. And if you ever in the future feel like getting a bit bigger, like, musclewise, you can’t. By tattooing your chest, you pretty much commit to staying your exact size for the rest of your life. I have no idea what you look like, but most sixteen year old boys are not full grown.
And yes, it is going on YOUR body. That’s exactly why that fact is so fucking important!

Second problem; No serious, decent artist, good enough to make that piece look so fucking amazing that you’ll be proud to have it for the rest of your life, will touch a 16 year old boy. I got three small tattoos myself that I got at 15/16, and I’m retouching them all. Wait with the bigger pieces until you can go to the artist deserving of doing your tattoo.

And… When you do get old enough, and find a really amazing artist to do it, the artist will help you out with the tattoo itself. You’ve got a lot of words going on there, so making the tattoo itself will take some work in order for it all to look right. Biker had a good suggestion up here.

Personally I would have something about your Grandpa if its in memory of him, rather than it to be something that alot of people have. Ive got a tattoo to remember my Grandmother and I wanted something that was unique to her rather than something that everyone else will have. You also say your open to other pharses, you have to pick your own tattoo our youll regret it within months!

Also at 16 your way too young to be getting a tattoo on your chest, I mean fair play if you find someone to do it but personally I would wait until your body has finished devolping to have something done where there is still growth, no matter what ideas we give you, a chest piece done at your age will be ruined if your muscles get alot bigger!

Why not have a portrait or something or your Grandpa rather than just some ghetto pharses that dont make sense!
