I have to agree with yoda. While it sucks that there are very similar tattoos to yours out there, a blue rose is not exactly uncommon. In fact, the roses on my leg were almost blue! But I do hate it for you!

What kind of soap are you using? I know my shop recommends using Dial hand soap. One thing I have found for me personally is I can’t use the Dial for longer than 3 days, or else it dries the tattoo out too much. I switch over to plain Dove or Ivory soap for washing after the third day.

Hmm, sorry. I’m not sure what’s going on there. If it were me, I would probably swing by my shop and have my artist take a look at it. I don’t think it’s poorly done, I think something’s happening, but I’m not sure what.

Yes, the calf is a great place for a tattoo! Pretty painless, in my oh so humble opinion. Should be pretty easy to turn into a leg sleeve if you so desire, I would think. But, I have stated over and over again, I am NOT an artist.:)

My recommendation is to go with something a little more original than stars. Think on it a little harder; what represents your sisters to you? There are SO many ways to go with a memorial tattoo … you just need to really think, look at pictures until your eyes cross. But I see a million star tattoos out there, and 999,999 of them are bad.

My most recent tattoo is situated so that when others look at it, it’s right side up. It would look ridiculous if I had it so that I could see it right up. It’s on the inside of my forearm. You will KNOW what it says; if you want to see it right side up, take a picture of it so you can look at it whenever you want.

3 of mine, gave the artist pretty specific ideas about exactly what I wanted. Ironically, those 3 are now my least favorite! My most recent 3, I gave the artist a very vague idea (hummingbird, flowers, GO!) and he created beautiful works of art.
