Laura Ann Swift- Creepin Reaper Tattoo

Laura Ann Swift has a diverse tattoo portfolio with her excelling at every style she does. With blackwork, traditional and neo-traditional work spread across her Instagram feed. J D Kenny (gfhostimage_artwork) who also goes by GhostImage is a tattoo artist based at The Ink Spot in Stoke on Trent. You may recognise the name from last year when we did an interview with him, which you can read here. J D is a super talented artist who offers a variety of styles, however, he does a lot of realism and blackwork pieces which are always jaw-dropping. Ghostimage tends to bring a spooky twist to his work, with creatures, clowns, voodoo dolls and famous faces within the horror genre making regular appearances.

Bex Heath- Old Smithy Tattoo

Not strictly based in Stoke on Trent, however, Bex Heath is based in Leek which is pretty close. We had to include her on this list as her bright and bold style caught our eye. With Disney themed ink spanning across her feed, you’re bound to fall in love with some of her tattoos. As well as Disney Bex has a portfolio featuring a variety of familiar faces such as Groot, Batman and plenty of cuties from Pokemon. If you’re looking for a new Disney piece to add to your collection or even just something bright and colourful, the Old Smithy is where you need to be!

Clarissa J Docksey- New Image Tattoo Studio

Clarissa J Docksey (CJ) who is based at New Image Tattoo in Stoke caught our eye, with a portfolio full of different styles, including dainty linework pieces to gorgeous dot work mandalas. CJ who is only a junior artist has even has done some strikingly bold colourful pieces, which are phenomenal. With only a couple of years tattooing experience under her belt, it’s amazing what she’s achieved so far. If you’re looking to get a custom piece by Clarissa, she’s fantastic!

Phill Myatt Tattoo- Black Haus Tattoo

Last but not least, is the phenomenal Phill Myatt, an artist who specialises in realism pieces. Based at Black Haus Gallery in Stoke on Trent, Phill creates realism pieces so good they look like photos. Honestly, his work is fantastic! With a number of pieces on his Instagram showing off his talent, you can’t help but get drawn in. From Elvis to animals, Phill has done it all. Don’t worry if you’re not based in the West Midlands, Phil travels a lot and is currently guest spotting in Canada. So you might find him popping up in a studio near you soon.
