okay so i have decided to get my first tattoo and what i want has alot of small details, i am wondering if it can be done without eventually looking like a blob heres what it looks like

http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=wjtca1&s=5

i want to put the three pieces to it in order going down my calf or on the underpart of my upper arm, probably calf though because theres more room to make the image bigger.
I guess the question is can this be done without looking bad and roughly how small can it go before it becomes “too” small?

annnnnd roughly how much would something like this cost?

i know nothing about tattoos.sorry:confused:

The only way i see you being able to do that, is making it cover your whole back.

In my opinion, if you got it on your calf or arm it would have to be way too small..

And that will cost major major money because its going to take a very long time because of all the detail.

hmm so in other words….no, damn. what about if you click view raw image in the link, what if i did that size and it kind of wrapped partially around my calf? still no? because i really like the idea of this

unfortunately its still a no no…

its much too detailed for a small piece, an ideal size for this piece would be aprox 8 inches high so each pannel would be aprox 6 inches wide, otherwise the lines would mingle into a blob over only a short period of time, there is no way that this would fit on your calf muscle unles your built like a rhino ๐Ÿ˜‰

To much stuff going on there, l agree the whole back would have to be used.

that one needs to be about 10 or even 12 inches long….. you dont seem to understand that all these lines will blend into each other , tattoo’s spread and the lines get wider and wider over the years. so it would all turn into a mush, your idea seems cool to you but unfortunately the style of work that you like just does not make for a good tattoo design ๐Ÿ˜‰

i think i understand so if i used that one going down my calf it would work at roughly 12 inches or do you mean i might work at 12 inches
