I know it’s not the same entire crew from Miami but this is the girl I was thinking of:

for a “top notch” artist her work seems to need a bit more depth

You think so? I don’t know, she looks pretty damn good to me. Here’s her myspace portfolio, personally I think it’s solid as hell.

truthfully I only looked at the first day of the dead tattoo and it looks flat and dull. but I went back and looked again she nailed that rose. I would get work by her.Plus she is kinda hot.

I would so rather see Paul booth do ny ink. Can you imagine that dark bastard doing a show on tlc. And his sick work would just be icing on the cake.

iv also heard of a few people from england that have flew out to miami/LA ink to find that they only work there when the cameras are there. i dont know myself but some of the work they pull out looks the sheet.

Yeah Tim’s on it plus some other talented tattooers. There has been some talk about it over at that new tattoo forum Scott Sylvia started called Last Sparrow Tattoo. The problem with these shows is how they portray tattooing to the larger public but some good tattoos are done so people just need to remember it is a show. Tim speaks about this on some of his post on the other forum.

As to the tattooing only on camera, they tattoo all the time but there are also tattooers “behind” the scenes who do most of the other tattoos for walk-ins and such. The “behind” the scenes tattooers are often as good if not better than some on the show. The talent that tattoos on and off camera is awesome!

It’s so funny to see this because everyone I’ve met who’ve gone to Miami Ink have said all those guys are assholes with an ego… And they’re “not that talented.”

Then again, the city I live in considers Atomic the “premier” tattoo spot!

Tim’s stuff looks good and Garver did some really nice stuff on the show, but aside from that, I wouldn’t get inked by the rest of them.

Tim and Garver are my two favorites from any of the shows.

Last Sparrow Tattoo Ezine and Forum just posted a new video interview with Tim Hendricks (Saltwater Tattoo, Miami Ink, NY Ink) to their Tattooer Video Interview series. The series also includes Josh Arment, Bryan Burk, Nick Colella, Freddy Corbin, and Juan Puente.

Hope you enjoy them…..

Tim is one of my favourite artist, I really like the stuff he does, and he seems like an all around cool nice easy guy to deal with, I think him and Tommy are by far the best two artist on NY Ink, glad to see Tim back with Ami!
