I have 2 koi fish that make a shape of a heart on my lower back, a barbwire ankle bracelet, Tweety on my left shoulder, Taz on my right, and a chinese symbol on my neck that means “free spirited”. :umad:

Lately I’ve noticed an increase in trendy/popular tattoos. This includes but is not limited to: koi fish

I just see so many meaningless tattoos– the tribal armbands of the 90s that everyone laughs at now, remind me of these koi fish/asian designs in the 2000s which have become so popular. My local tattoo shop has full sleve stencils of pre-done up designs of koifish people regularly get done. I think, going along with what you’re saying, if someone is going to sit for the 8 or 12 hours it will take to get that pre made design applied, why wouldn’t they just work with the artist to create a new or custom design that would, agruably, be more personal? I’ve seen literally 3 people on my campus with this same koi fish tattoo desgin from the stencil, and it just got me to wondering.

Now how are you going to make a strong style statement? Not difficult. The one way you can make a good style statement is by getting a Tattoo. Now while choosing a tattoo, don’t just get anything think about it well before you do it because it’s a permanent and lasts a lifetime. The best suggestion I can make it getting Koi Fish Tattoos.
