I am completely inexperienced with tattoos so assume I know absolutely nothing! I have really wanted to get a black light tattoo and I wanted some suggestions about I should get. I was only thinking about getting a quote but I also have always thought Lil wayne’s black light tattoo looked really cool which I would get probably in the same place but maybe a little more towards my chest.

The quotes that I had in mind were:

Life is one long struggle in the dark

OR

Character is what a man is in the dark

OR

When it gets dark enough you can see the stars

What are your thoughts? Should I stick with a quote? If so which one do you like the best? I am completely up for suggestions of other quotes but I want to keep the word dark in it. Which one would be more painful? I’m guessing that the lips one wouldn’t cost as much but I really have no knowledge of tattoos so maybe not.

Edit: I have heard that UV tattoos are not good for you. Is there any truth to this and if so what is so bad about it? How invisible are UV tattoos in the light?

Are UV Tattoos safe?

Safety concerns about UV tattoos remain. The chemicals that compose UV ink are not considered 100% safe due to the number of reported skin irritations. Numerous skin rashes, blisters and infections have been reported with UV ink. In addition, there is some concern that these inks may contribute to cancer.

I’m not a fan of text tattoos, but Emerson’s is probably the best of the 3. The actual quote is: ““When it is darkest, men see the stars.””

Because UV tattoo ink is so new, nobody really knows that much about it, how it ages, or what the long term effects are. I do know that there is an amount of phosphorous in the ink and I know that’s not good for you. Tattoo ink isn’t regulated by the FDA so there aren’t any in depth studies on it. I wouldn’t do it.
