Hey everyone. Just wanting your quick opinion on something. Roughly a year ago, I got my first tattoo (image below taken the day after getting it) A little about it: Its the Lord’s Prayer written in Greek. Also, the red tint was only irritation.

Anyway, After looking at my tattoo, I realized that it doesnt really make a whole lot of sense.. I have skin thats torn open and stichted together yet skin underneath it as well. So, heres what Id like to do to try and fix it. Please let me know what you think.

-Have the inner part of the tattoo solid black
-Retrace the black lettering with either red or white ink (what do you think?)
Also: Add the reddish tint to it.

Might also want to add some bloody effect to it.

And sorry if this is posted in the wrong section

Making it full black would ruin it, and you can’t just change the color of the text from black to red/white. Nothing covers black, but more black 🙂

That’s weird cause I saw someone posted pics of a black and gray skull and redid the whole thing with different colors.

I think the OP’s tattoo looks good the way it is. Maybe a little more shading, but honestly, I wouldn’t do too much to it.

Gray is not the same as black. Gray can be colored over, and in fact that gives it a lot of added depth.

no do not fill it with black it will make it look like it was covered for a reason(messed up tat or something). I would maybe suggest adding red to the inside but thats about it if anything.

the only way to maybe cover black is to get lazer surgery first.

DO NOT trace the letters. DO NOT get solid black inside. maybe you can add “flesh-like” textures inside. kind of how my artist did with mine.
