Right guys i need a hand here ive been trying to get this tattoo done for a while but i went and paid for a design and it came out so bad! Nothing like i wanted and the bloke tried charging me to redesign it! so im really timid now about it and was wondering if anyone seen or knows anyone who would be able to design this tattoo.

My idea is a half sleeve vegas and gambling themed tattoo.

I already have my lucky number 17 on the back of my arm (tricep area) i want a smoked effect around it and around three playing cards one faced down and A,10 of hearts face up just above the 17. Then on the top of my deltoid i want the Welcome to Las Vegas nevada sign and underneath (lower delt bicep) i see a marylin monroe-esque pin up girl wearing some sort of naughty nightwear a burlesque sort of look! she’ll either be sitting under the vegas light and it will be raining casino chips. On the inner bicep part of my arm i want a fruit machine with 3 7s or cheeries showing. And ill use smokey shaded effect and a segement of the roulette wheel like a thinish strip of tape running around the emptyish parts of the tattoo to fill any space.

I see it mostly in black and skin with the odd thing in a dark colour (the fruit machine cherries, some of the vegas sign, some chips, monroes hair, 0 on the rou strip) it should be a pretty dark fun tattoo is that makes sense

Has anyone seen a similar sleeve/half sleeve ever before? and if so can i see a picture so i can use as a sub design. or any sort of similar tattoos that i could use to relate to mine?

Or does anyone know any decent desingers i can contact who arent going to take me for a two bob?

Any help would be sooooo appericated ive had this idea for ages?

Thank you!

Ideally, the designer and the artist would be the same person. You need to spend some time researching good artists in that style and bring them your ideas. If you google enough you should also be able to find some good gambling themed tattoos to give some ideas.

Like mentioned above, you need to do a ton of research finding an artist. Every artist has a different style, and you need to find one that suits what you are looking for. Once you find that, go to him, bring images, and your thoughts, and if he is on the same page as you are, and things are vibing well, then you know you have the right artist to do your half sleeve!

I have a Vegas half sleeve started already on my arm – it shows the chapel my wife and I married in, the date in playing cards (10/1/10 King/Ace/Queen of hearts), a pair of dice showing 3 and 4 (my birthday and my wife’s birthday, and also adding up to 7, the time time got married) and the Welcome to Vegas sign. I would have attched a photo of it but I can’t seem to upload anyhing here so if you wanna see it drop me a line at iainaucott@yahoo.co.uk Good luck!
