I got the first section of my tribal tattoo three weeks ago. The design will span across my chest and also finish all around my arm, later the names of my children will be done in letter that resembles the artwork over top of my heart. I’m having trouble deciding weather or not to have it shaded when its all complete. I’m thinking that the shading will add a bit more depth and character. My question though is would one go with a typical black/grayish shading or would a red shading look good. What do you guys think??

I think it depends on the caliber of your artist.

IS there any type of pen, pencil, or marker that one would use to test the colors??? Granted that the color wouldn’t be exactly what the actual pigment will look like, but more or less a way to test drive the color and see what I prefer.
