Hi all. Just registered for this site purely for help and advice really, so any would be much appreciated! Firstly, I don’t have any ink as of yet, however, I know the style of what I want just not the one I want!

As the thread states, I do want a Samoan half sleeve from the shoulder to just above the elbow. I have two questions if anybody can offer any help; firstly:

The above link is the style and size I want, but I’m not sure how to design your own as I have no idea of the meanings or how samoan designs are put together. I’ve had a look online but can’t seem to find any that offer advice on how to design your own.

Secondly, how many hours work approximately would you say went into a style such as that? The shop I’m thinking of going to I know charges £70 for the hour. I know it differs in terms of detail and what not, but it’s just to give me an idea so I have a target of how much I’ll need.

Damn right Arni – I have lost count of the amount of times I have had an idea of what I wanted and my tattooist would say “if you do it like THIS its going to work better on the body etc etc”

and then I think

well thats why he is the tattooist and I am the customer
