Just got back from dropping my fiancee off at work and thought why not take her in my toy “1984 Ford Escort RS Turbo” on the way back i took the east lanks(Kind of like a motorway) for those who don’t know. Over took a few cars at around 114mph one of the cars being a unmarked Vauxhall Vectra. Police man says to me (You look awfully young to have on of these cars how can you afford this” I reply “Working?” asks for my licence etc blah blah blah. Then says to me Ok you can be on your way now.

Moral of the story is he never said a word about me going 114mph in a 70mph zone…….

it happenss once in a blue moon, I have many tickets, actuallybeen sentenced to jail 3 times for speeding, I have been horrible over the years, about 12 years ago I was driving my 1970 chevelle ss454 and unmarked mustang pulls me over……….Im crapping my pants because my license is near suspension (again) and he just wanted to see the car, he pulled the hood and we shot the shit for about 30 minutes and off we went!

Is this in Georgia? If so, I’d best knock it off my list of potential states for my move in the next 1-2 years.

once in North Carolina, twice in Georgia………………..I am in my late fourties and I have told every lie in court I can think of to try and get out of tickets, I am one of the worst speeders in america, I cant tell you my ticket total, you would not believe me, 41 so far in Georgia, lost my license in many states,
so really it is my fault, judges have told me I should be punished more because I havent gotten the message.

last tickets was 103 in a 55, careless and wreckless, passing in a bridge, 3 or 4 young ladies across the seat of my hemi pickup……..straight to jail. Prosecutor asked the judge for 2 years in jail, $2025 fine…….but I hire VERY expensive lawyers, the absolute best there is..they keep me driving, I am calming down now, I drive my corvette and 2011 camaro fairly reasonably, 100 mph of so this afternoon going home, I drive the motorcycles a little faster, the suzuki really cant be caught (never had a ticket on a bike, wonder why)

Well, up north, moving violations never result in imprisonment as long as your license is valid at the time when you get them. I know some of the southern states have bullshit laws about speeding in workzones, etc. (and littering even) that can land you in jail. I’d rather avoid ever living in one of those states.

I used to be a maniac driver, but I wrecked doing 140 mph when I was 18. I still speed, but that was the end of my racing and reckless driving days.

I got the speed bug very early, got a minibike at 7 years old for christmas, friends brother was older and had motorcycle, I was tall and looked older so alot of time I could hang with the older guys and they let me ride their bikes,
my parents also got divorced when I was 9 and my mom married my stepdad who was a part owner of a NASCAR nationwide series car (then called grand national series)……I was hooked, if we were not at a circle track we wrere at the drag strip. I built some pretty fast cars with friends most of whom went into the business of building race cars and I got an NHRA certification.
but like most young guys I raced alot on the street
I got my first ticket on the street in my moms 1974 Z28 Camaro when I was 14 years old, it was downhill from there………….problem was as a cop said, I really knew how to drive too good

48 years old, never had an accident, not a scratch, but I will never say it cant happen

Wardy the Cop was most probably in shock, he was expecting no license, stolen car and as everyone knows anyone with tattoos that is not in jail must have just got out!!!!! In the sate in live in (Aus) 2MPH over the speed limit and you get a fine. 22MPH over and your car gets confiscated. Do it twice in your lifetime and the car gets crushed.

Yeah.. think about it… would you drive your Ford Escort at 100mph if you thought it would be crushed if the cops pulled you over?
