[lang=no]Y0 =)

I want a Tattoo for my brother that symbolizes his life, but i can’t come up with something creative about him, therefor i am asking out for help 🙂

Maybe some personal details could help you come up with something?

He is my half-brother, he left my part of the family for 11 years ago, and i haven’t seen him since.
He suffers from Tourettes Syndrom and ADHD.
He has also stolen from stores and people to afford drugs and other mentionables.

There is not much i know of my long gone brother due to his disappearance, wich is why i have grown massively fond of him in relative to the rest of my family.

This Tattoo is is very important to me, i would be incredibly grateful if someone in this forum could help me with this 🙂

I am looking for something rather big, something to cover either my entire back, or from my elbow and up to the shoulder, or maybe both! :)[/lang]

You’re going to dedicate an entire backpiece to your Brother?
To be honest, I think you need to know exactly what you want yourself before committing to that!

Good luck,

Chris

How about picking a memory of a good time in your lives and base it on that. Hopefully there were a few happy memories.

You want strangers from the interweb to help give you ideas about a tattoo for your brother that we have never meet but you have known for all your life? Is this correct? Something in this logic seems a bit flawed to me.

Wow. Some people just dont know what they want. How can u base a large memorial piece off someone elses idea? If you cant figure it out yourself then your not ready to memorialize anything.

You have a point, Wiseguy? I am asking for help, and you throw lessons at me? What kind of manners have you been raised with?
FYI, you really think i am gonna paint my body with ink with an idea for a picture that came out of someone else’s mind?
I need something that can symbolize a life so full of pain, regret and sorrow that it’s almost not worth living but i can’t come up with something artistic, if you can’t help with that, then you are not ready to join this forum, go teach someone else.[/lang]

[lang=no]And how is this flawed? This forum is for several reasons, one of the reasons is because people need help with something.
Jeez, the page told me i would find help and friends, but it is clearly the opposite? This forum is obviously not to get positive feedback from, just lessons and criticism, quite the forum…[/lang]

Ok mr 4 posts. Im not ready to join this forum. With the info youve given A: drug addict B: thief C: walked out on his family, i think you should re-evaluate your high regard for this person. What you do is your business but if you want some generic idea that you can morph your idea from, then go into a reputable tattooshop and look on the walls. Or better yet, talk to a tattoo artist and figure it out. You got logical feedback from levelheaded people. If you dont like it GTFO. Good luck with your drug addict/ deserter/ thief tattoo. Im starting to think this is just a troll. I feel like ive been had.

Dude, we get a MASSIVE number of posts like this, people register, make a couple of posts and are never seen again, that’s why you were treated with a bit of suspicion, it’s nothing personal.

It’s also an unusual request, asking people to come up with ideas for a Brother you sound as if you barely know yourself.

I don’t honestly think there’s enough to go on for people to come up with many suggestions, if I were you I’d go and talk it over with your tattoo artist. They’re creative, imaginative people and may come up with some ideas for you.
Otherwise, just keep it in the back of your mind for a few Years until you see something that really inspires you. That would be my thoughts anyway.

I’m sure no-one meant any offense, it’s just that with the number of trolls we get here, some-one new can be treated with caution!

Good luck,

Chris

This guy doesnt have a clue. Maybe its the translator hes using. But then again maybe i am 12!
Hey sameoldwall just relax. Im not making personal attacks because emotion isnt a contributing factor.
I am not now nor will i ever be a keyboard badass. You have been given the best advice at least twice already. Talk to a tattoo artist. The only people who ask for advice on tattoo subjects have like 2 posts.
If you want good feedback then arguing, with the people who actually care enough to waste their time responding to your question, probably isnt the best way to handle it. Its all constructive. Good luck figuring out your memorial tattoo.
If youre just here to argue then good luck with that also.

Yes, this forum is here amongst other things for people to find help with some things, but there are some things that just can’t be helped.
One of the things that is impossible to help with, is ideas for such a deeply personal tattoo. We don’t know your brother, apart from the simple summation of him being a sick, druggie thief, whereas you have known him for the longest time. It is therefore impossible for us to give you a better idea than you already have yourself.

Most of the forum regulars here are people that are older than yourself, and if you’ll forgive my saying so, therefore have far more sense than you do. Collectively, we want a very simple thing. We want good tattoos for all. This means that we SAY when we believe tattoos or ideas are crap. This rubs some people the wrong way, but some actually realize that the people here are saying it to help. We’ve even had a few come back and say “I should have listened to you”.

You asked a question, you got some answers. You are free to accept them or not… that is your prerogative. If you don’t, feel free to leave.
