This tattoo hurt like hell. I have never needed a “break” while getting a tatttoo, ever, in 15 years. I needed 2 of them to get through this thing. But, when it’s all said and done, I’m happy as hell with the result. It’s covering up my ex-wife’s name. Seperated for 2 years, papers came through, my official “moving on with my life” gesture. Comments welcome, always.

The heavy color is because of the cover job. Decent job by the artist, covering is never easy. Bro, a flower on your throat? Did you consider having it removed? Seems they could have at least lightened with laser before covering. JMO

Hi

I take my hat off to you with that.
Looking at the heavy fill needed it must have felt like he was digging for your larynix.

How long did that take?

I watched a girl getting her throat done at the tattoo convention. I can only imagine the pain

Took almost 2 hours of the most agonizing tattoo session ever. Yeah the heavy coloring did NOT help at all with the pain part. But getting the ex’s name covered was awesome. Plus I love roses.

As for using laser to lighten it first, nah. It’s funny, the pain seemed like part of the letting go and moving on thing. Hard to explain.
