I have scheduled a 3/4 Koi sleeve to get worked on by Aaron Bell from Slave to the Needle(Seattle, WA). I think he does amazing Japanese work. Another person would be Aaron Della Vedova from Guru Tattoo(San Diego, CA), who does more Neo-Japanese work oppose to traditional. On the east coast, Chris O’Donnell who works out of New York. Kore Flatmo is another guy who does Neo-Japanese and it’s crazy what he can do and he’s out of Ohio. Two others I wanted to mention were Jill Bonny/Horiyuki and Horitaka from State of Grace Tattoo(San Jose, CA) and they do the most traditional Japanese tattooing….Horitaka a student of Horiyushi III. I know most of these artists have quite a wait until you can get work done, but they’re the best at what they do and these are the artists I admire most. Also check out their myspace to get more of their work. Hope this helps.

I feel like I’m making a much bigger thing of this than I need to…….
….. I just don’t want to insult him, when I’m really appreciative of the work he’s done
I’m getting people telling me I should always tip with tattoos, because they’re providing a service, and they’re saying 15-20%; while others say I shouldn’t because there are really no rules with tipping when it comes to tattoos.
…..so this is the reason for my confusion.
