Hey guys, so I got this lion tattoo REINKED in certain spots about 3 months ago in an attempt to make the tattoo one solid color of black. now it’s still shiny from certain angles and still a different shade of black (it’s darker now). My tattoo artist said when you get a tattoo reinked it takes longer for the ink to settle in.

shine does tend to be just after you first get it done. as the skin flakes off over the next few months the upper layers will not have the ink only lower laysers which hold it . so short answer yes it should start to be not so shiny over time.
