There’s no way for anyone on this site to give you an accurate price…

Your best bet is to go to shops and ask the artists themselves. Don’t worry, just because you go to the shop and consult with a certain artist doesn’t mean you have to have that artist, or any artist from that shop at all, tattoo you. Artists shouldn’t charge you for consultation.

Price depends on the size of the tattoo, the artist (more well-known/popular/skilled artists cost more), and how long the work takes to tattoo (most artists charge per hour). This is why you really should go to the shops yourself, with an idea of the work you want in your head or on paper, and talk with them about getting a price quote.

I know this is probably not the answer you want, but it honestly is the answer you need. It would be wrong for anyone on here to quote you a price that you might get your heart set on and for that price to be completely wrong when you go and actually get the tattoo.

a true artist would offer you to pay for them to draw the piece until you approved and quote you a price then

usually tattoo artists charge by the weight of the ink that they use. The price per color is listed below:

Black/Grey: 4.50 per cubic inch- Crushed up Cuban cigar ashes and tinted glass
Red: 35 per cubic inch- this is because it take whale semen to make it stay and that’s hard to get.
Blue: 17.57 per cubic inch – the color comes from atoms from the upper atmosphere diluted into molasses.
Green: 27 per cubic inch- from African toad saliva
Yellow: 1 per cubic inch – comes from recycled magazines

If you need to figure out how much weight you will need, simply weigh your thumb, subtract the weight of the bone and the muscle and the tendons and stuff and then cute that in half. This should give you about an inch of skin or so. Weight that, and multiply that weight by the color/price chart above and the size of the tattoo you want.

Once you get this price, go to any artist and demand that you pay that amount. Anyone who charges you more is ripping you off.

Clear?
