Hello everyone. I am planning to get my first tattoo sometime soon. I visited this shop by me and to my surprise it was way nicer than what i expected. They said all of their tattoo are totally custom and their rate is 150 per hour. I was wondering if you guys could check out their website for me http://www.empirestatestudios.com/ and look at some of their work and let me know what you think. They also have this guest artist working their until june 31st, Marvin Silva. I have never heard of him but maybe some of you have. I look forward to your responses. Thanks!
Hello and welcome to the forums. i checked out the website, and everyone there had top notch work. i personally like tommy helms and marvin silvas styles better than the others. Thats just my opinion for what its worth. What did you have in mind as far as tattoo goes? well keep us updated and good luck.

Yea, i really like Tommy’s work also, but sadly hes not accepting appointments and the next available time to get tattooed by him will be late 2011. I like Marvin’s work also. Im going to get the lyric “Im not afraid, at least not to die, im afraid to live and not remember why” along 5 banners on my calf. I have a design that someone made for me, but sadly i cant upload it anywhere because its in an adobe file, If you like i can email it to you. I was also thinking of taking those banners and mayeb having a bird sort of entangled inside them, almost like its trapped and trying to break free. This tattoo represents a severe case of depression from my childhood i have overcome so i feel liek the bird would be a good idea, what do you guys think
