    Hello – new here
Got the outline of my tattoo colored in at the Chicago tattoo convention by a very reputable artist. When I got home, the faces looked very dark, and red. I called the artist and he told me it was a combo of three things:

    1. Blood under the skin, which is changing the pigment
    2. Fresh ink which needs to heal and settle in my skin (he said give it a month or two).
    3. That the shading which looks kind of harsh and “carved” will look softer and more natural once it settles and heals.
I am sure he is right, but I am a natural worry-er, and wanted to bring the problem to some more experts without a stake, like yourselves.
    Thoughts? I have attached pictures.
