Everyone is different and some tattoos may heal faster than others but I think the general rule is that it isn’t fully healed until at least a month. After a few days of getting it they usually start flaking and regrowing the skin. Sometimes they go through more than one peeling phase during which it wil look faded and crappy. Then the peeling will stop and it will start to look fresh and new again. They may be basically healed after a couple of weeks but again most artists say at least a month until pretty much fully healed when you can go swimming, etc.

i’m at end of week 4 and i’m still not fully healed……………going underwater in another week, so it better hurry up………………..:mad:

this is also the first tattoo that scabed considerably, but i didn’t pick at them and there is no loss of ink……..:D
