I got my first tattoo on Saturday. When I first left the shop I was very happy with it. Now it appears that the ink it blurring outside of the outline. Is this a normal part of healing? It also appears lighter in some spots then others. I have been using Polysporin on it as recommended by my artist. I plan on switching to lotion today.
I cannot post images yet. I just started on this forum today.
Are these better? Also, I am no longer using the Polysporin.

Perhaps you should put those contacts in 🙂
If you look at the last picture for instance, your focus is at the far back. The switch and socets and mirror on the wall are perfectly clear, whereas your hand is all fuzzy. If that camera has some settings on it, try to change the autofocus so that it focuses only on the middle (crosshairs) and then aim that at the tattoo.
Touch-ups are inevitable.
If you didn’t want to get touch-ups…you shouldn’t have gotten a tattoo.
From the shitty images that you posted, I can’t tell if you have blowouts or not…but I do see where the ink either didn’t take or wasn’t properly placed and has indeed fallen out.
Wait two months.
Get a touch-up.
Your artist will likely do it for free.
(You should tip him)
BUT if you are seeing…like a flow of ink along parts of the edge that looks like it follows a vain pattern…that is a blow-out and your artist doesn’t know what the fuck he is doing…get a new one.
(Granted blow-outs happen…and your artist may not be incompetent…but being that you are an ink virgin…he probably is.)
I just got my first tatto. Yesterday morning. The first day it looked really good, but today it got scabbed and so greasy. Seems like the tatto obsorbed all the cream which i applied on and bloated. I am quite scared. Please tell me – if this is really bad?

I can see what you’re talking about in regards to it looking lighter in some areas but I wouldn’t worry just yet. Wait until it heals and if it still looks like that when it’s done healing, get it touched up.
