    Hi

    I got my newest tattoo now 11 days ago. It has shed all of the scabbing, and it looks pretty good.

    It didn’t itch at all during the scabbing phase, but now it itches like crazy! I don´t remember my other tattoos itching like this after they shed the scap. I might be wrong, as it is about 8 years since my last tatto.

    I have been using Tattoo Goo, which is good for relieving the itch, but the tattoo gets really dry soon after applying the goo, so I have also been using a lotion called Helosan which works great for moisturizing but not so great with the itching.

    This tattoo is also a lot bigger than what I had before, it is basically a half sleeve , but not on the inside of my arm (yet).

    So yeah… is this normal? And any pointers on relieving the itching? 🙂

    i hear you on this , after every tattoo has finished peeling its shiny silver skin i get the itches so bad i could rub myself against a brick wall :rolleyes:
    to stop it i put on some light alcohol free cream or give it a very mild wash .

    Hi

    I tend to grab a bag of ice or frozen peas and lay it across the area.

    Fragrance free lotion also helps or have you tried some hemp cream?
    Just make sure it is lanolin free or below 45%

    Slapping it sometimes brings relief.
