Hi, I’m just beginning to give serious consideration to getting a tatto done and would really appreciate advice before I go and talk to an artist.

I don’t have any really solid image of the piece I want done…

I want something quite large, maybe on the side of my abdomen and chest, I want colour, I love Chinese and Japanese watercolour and would like something with space in the composition.

I don’t really want to look around for ages to find some picture to take into a shop, I feel that to get the kind of thing I want I really need to go and see a serious artist and have some lengthy chats. Is this the way things are done? Something tells me I’m asking a stupid question! In addition I am based in China and so it would make sense for me to try and find someone in China or SE Asia. Would anyone be able to offer recommendations?
