Around 2 months ago I got a dark black tattoo covered up with a colorful phoenix. The phoenix is mainly dark purple and dark blue, my artists said this covers black the best. I like the piece but I just think it could have something more to make it pop out.

I’m not sure if I like the head the way it is right now. Looks more like an eagle to me. Is there anything you think I could add to the head to make it look a bit better?

Also I’m not sure on the tail feathers either. I don’t know what it is but I just feel like something could be better. I was thinking maybe getting a banner and some text to cover the tail feathers or just leaving them but making them more pointy and with a little grey shading. What do you guys think?
