Hoping someone can help or has seen this before.
3 days ago my partner and I got a bamboo tattoo (metal rods) and everything was great until yesterday. We both had severe burning and stinging and woke up this morning with blisters all over.
The place we got it done in Phuket was extremely clean with everything glad wrapped and changed with every person, gloves, new needles etc.
We have been using paw paw cream and also antiseptic spray which contains tea tree oil. This was used from day one. The tattoo looks heeled and great up until last night.
I have spoken to tattoo place and they have never seen it before and advised to keep dry and after that use bepanthim.
Any ideas as to what’s happening?

Ok the burning and stinging has now stopped but still got blisters.
The blisters are more like bubbling of the ink. Not sure how to post a picture from phone or I would.
The tattoo isn’t red around it or doesn’t have puss coming out so thought it wouldn’t be an infection. More along the lines of a chemical reaction to the antiseptic spray.
