Hey guys new here. So i have been working on my arm for awhile now, on and off, did a few on my leg and whatnot. But anyways im starting to close in on finishing up my arm and feel like i should be thinking ahead about my next tattoo placement and whatnot in terms of making it all come together. Im just curious of like certain ‘guidelines’ or things i should consider when placing my next ink. I want to be sure its easy to tie all of it in with some sore of background filler. I was thinking maybe some type of fire? Since my flag is kinda ripped and what not. Also would it look better to have the filler be color if my whole upper arm is black? just want to be sure the upper ties in with the lower.

Really just unsure of how the whole tying it all together thought process works. just need some more eyes on it.

My next idea is getting the Guy Fawkes mask on the back of my arm, from V for Vendetta. Right in between the AABE part and my elbow, on the backside

Were you planning on having a full sleeve at some point when you originally started getting tattoos?

I’ve never planned a sleeve, so if you want experience, I suppose I’m not really the best person to listen to. That being said, I still have eyes, and can offer you an opinion. My opinion is that your tattoos don’t really seem to link together, either in theme or design, which I think would make it kind of difficult to do a sleeve. I’m also not a fan of the Guy Fawkes mask, but that’s entirely me. If you like it and want it on your arm, maybe consider going to an artist and asking for his/her opinion on placement and continuation of a sleeve. Best of luck! (:
