Okay, I recently posted a thread showing my new tattoo. I’m new to tatttoos…
I’m quite a paranoid person and is getting paranoid if my tattoo is suppose to peal like this. it looks like it’s losing a lot of color..

Can anyone help? I’ve been putting using bepanthen, as it is apparently the best cream available.

While tattoos never return to their fresh brightness you see right after a tattoo, you’re looking at it through a bunch of dying skin that will just have to slough off naturally. Do what everyone else said, and for God’s sake, don’t fucking pick it.

Ah fuck, i guess its my fault then. I was thinking more lotion is merrier.

Does this mean I’ll need to get it reshaded?

And the colour of my tattoo while I just got it done… What colour is that? I’m in love with that colour.
Since it’s gone so light now, will i be able to reshade it? To keep it at a fresh look?

Thanks for the response guys. I know it’s my fault and if you really have to.. please call me an idiot.

relax dude. you haven’t messed up anything yet. If you’re still paranoid come your next appointment just voice your concerns to your artist.

    You’ll be fine.
It’s actually pretty hard to completely fuck up your own tattoo. It doesn’t need a lot of ointment, just a little bit. And always clean it before you put anything on. But you’ll be fine. You’ll survive.

Post another photo up with better lighting. I think you’re being melodramatic here. You don’t need your tattoo “redone”.

Don’t worry my brother has about two tattoos and it suppose to peel. you wash the tattoo with soap and water then put bepanthen on it and in about a week or two it will stop peeling. It peels because it in the recovery process. Hopes this helps
