Oh, I wouldn’t have jumped on you if I’d have known you were from the UK – My mistake; I’m sorry. Yeah, it’s totally different with wages and pricing. In America, tipping is very important for people’s survival. Things are less expensive here because of tipping, and frankly, I prefer more go into someone’s pocket and they can decide what’s fair to be taxed.

original six……………..how good of a relationship do you want with the person permenantly marking your skin?
In my case I am probably going back tot he artist again, I want to start a good relationship,
I want the best booking spots, I want extra time on design and on skin at no charge, I get these things,
I feel like it is an exchange, we are begining a business relationship, not just getting one piece and running off,
all enthusiasts might not be heading this direction, you might be planning on never using that artist again, but I would still tip, a good reputation is nice to have, it has advantages

currently wearing 250 hours, and many more to go, cant explain what my ink means, its personal, it is about who I am

Very true, Chen. A working business relationship with a tattooist is very nice.
