hi i have a question about roman numerals… im sold on getting a tattoo of a year (eg 1999) in roman numerals. so ive gone to a generator and typed in the year, ive gotten ”MCMXCIX” which is the number 1999 does that represent as a year aswel? hope what im asking makes sense, its just a little hard to word the question.

Yes, that can also represent the year.

Roman numerals are used at the end of the credits of most movies and TV shows to show the year they were produced.

So yeah, its a perfectly valid way of showing a year.
