I’ll be going in for my next piece on the 25th, it’s going to be a portrait of my recently deceased dog 🙁

Was just wondering if you all think this picture of her will be a sufficient picture for a portrait?

It will be without my niece, please let me know your thoughts!

I’m not sure, I think most animal portraits I see are just the head/face area for the detail.

Take as many pics in that you can. Let the artist get a good feel for the dog.

the most effective way to get the perfect angle of the dog is to get a taxidermist to stuff and embalm the dog and bring the actual dog with you.

That pic looks like one taken towards the end of her life. I would find one of her younger and more peppy. Maybe a pup shot.

Agree with Top Dog. Your dog looks so sad in the pic! I would find one where he’s a little more perky looking.

That picture to me looks way too sad and miserable. I wouldn’t want that look on me for the rest of my life.
