Hello,

I have 2 tattoos, with several more kicking around in my head. I want to get a “personal info” tattoo, one containing my name, DOB, blood type, medical info, etc. I don’t plan on making it too ornate, just kinda like a typewriter font. I want to do this because I participate in a lot of high-risk activities, and I think it’d look bad-ass. I can’t find anything like this online, and was wondering what people thought I should include in it, as far as information.

You could always make that info a sort of morgue tag, tied around your ankle, wrist, or whatever.

I think you should include all the information included on a dog tag.

These types of tattoos are often seen on military personel. I think they are called body tags. Try googling it, good luck.

if you do high risk activities then i would suggest having it on your wrist, thats where they look to find a pulse or to see if you are wearing an s.o.s bracelet 😉

i would just put,
name, d.o.b
blood type
allergies

Definitely include allergies if you any, I’ve been thinking about that myself as I’m allergic to various antibiotics…
Other than that I wouldnt put too much, pretty much what Outlaw suggested. Just the essentials.

Unless you have any other specifics you’d like them to know, like DNR etc.

You should include Donor info too.

ppornan, Dogtags include different info for different branches. They also tend to include one’s SSN.

I guess the gist of this inquest was to figure out how much info is too much. I plan on including

Blood type
Allergies
Medical Conditions
Donar info (good call, ppornan)

should I include

Name
SSN

I hesitate with that as I don’t want someone to be able to get my personal info just because I’m walking around with my shirt off.

I would opt against it for exactly that reason.
Also, this info is technically not necessary to save your life.

Why would you want to publicise a terrorist organisation on a public forum? And one that a large number of people on it are from the UK and so may have experience of some of their past “high-risk” activities!

In summary, the IRA are scum, end of!

If you would be so kind as to stop your sweeping generalizations of peoples I will do the same. My high risk activities do not involve IRA actions. I was referring to rock climbing, free-diving, base jumping, etc. If you wish to discuss the IRA, please PM me. I am not here to start a flame-war. In public and private, you are free to have your opinions, but if they are degrading and you can’t communicate them civilly and like an adult please confine your comments to the private and not the public forum of an unrelated website.
