I have not been around any tattoo shops at all. I have one tattoo that I’m looking to get covered up and I want to go to a shop for a consult about a design. My question is do shops charge you for a consult? Thanks

They usually won’t charge for a consult, but they may ask for a down payment if there is design work that they will have to do. The down payment will usually go to the cost of the work.

Anyone thinking of letting a friend tattoo them needs to read the above post.

I have never been in a tattoo studio and I have a tattoo that I want covered.

I hope all you scratcher lovers get my point.

I think the stat I read was: every 7 minutes, someone is tattooed by a guy in a trailer with a needle he pulled out of the garbage. It happens.

I got mine at a studio so I’ve only been to one studio. Sorry if you did not understand me.
