hello there, i am not a tattoo artist, just an art lover, especially tattoos. i was looking for a new medium to get into, so my girlfriend bought me a tattoo machine, needles, ink and a bunch of practice skin.

my only question i have is how do you clean practice skin? i dont want to initial lines out, just the “stains” the ink you wipe away leaves on the surrounding area, it looks horrible and takes away from the art. I have tried using plain water but it doesnt seem to work to well. i’ve heard using vasoline works but i’m not sure. any help would be appreciated.

also, sorry if this isnt the right place in the forums to ask this question, i looked through the options and this seemed the best.
