Hi I’m looking for ideas for a full back tattoo. I’d like a heron plus koi carp in Japanese style. I’d prefer it very colourful and has to be BIG. I’ve been looking around on t’internet but there’s not much heronry around. Lots of koi stuff but I want the heron to be the main focus. Any ideas anyone? 🙂

i’m not sure if i’ve seen a lot of herons if japanese tattoo art, but i would try looking for images of cranes in japanese tattoo for inspiration, not exactly the same but similar

Ok I’ve just been to see my artist and he’s going to put some ideas together based on what I’ve talked to him about. We’re going to do my right arm in a few weeks time – probably a couple of sessions. But he’s all excited about doing the full back piece – heron & all.
