    I’m looking into getting a tattoo, and what I’d really love would be to get Claude Monet’s waterlilies (see below) done. What I wonder about, though, is if it’s actually possible to recreate the impressionist style as a tattoo? How might a representation of the water lilies turn out? Any opinions, thoughts?

    i think it would be doable… just dont get the usuall black outline… be sure to go to a reputable artist to get it done properly though….

    It can be done but… (aint there always)

    White ink i s really sucky at staying in the skin and can fade within 18 mths – 3 years it would be a constant battle to keep the lillies ‘white’.

    That said if you didnt mind a compromise on the colour yes with a good artist it can be achieved. If you wanted the blurred affect similar to the water colour it would be some very intense shading.

    The only issue to watch for would be blurring with age.

    Nice concept though.
