    interested in getting a neck tattoo but am worried that stubble would complicate the healing. can anyone shed any light on this?

    Hi Baddev88

    Not got any neck tats myself but from my understanding it is not much different to any other part of the body.

    The main issues to watch for are;

    Any ingrowing hairs – this can irritate the skin and cause discomfort.

    No shaving until it is healed – obviously could damage the tattoo.

    Do not tattoo over any moles or acne/general scarring before speaking to a professional.

    Apart from that enjoy your tattoo and post up when you are done.

    I have the back of my neck done and the artist shaved the hairline before starting. All she said was to watch for ingrown hairs…but that should be a minimal concern because of all the moiturizer.
