Hi, Just about to get my first tattoo and they say you shouldn’t rush into these things! Well I have had my design rattling around in my head for about 6 years now and I still love the thought of it and it is very personnel to me so I think it’s safe to say now that I won’t regret it. A friend of mine who is an artist has brought my idea to life (on paper) my only problem now is who I trust to get it done. I live in Brighton, East Sussex and I have had so many recommendations from people but they all have your normal off the wall design nothing original and nothing personnel.
My design is to be in shading with no colour. And my big fear now is it gets cocked up! Can anyone who has been in a similar position give any advice other than check out previous work/look at portfolios as obviously portfolios will only show what they have done well!!!!! Many Thanks
i am currently getting a cover up done at angelic hell in brighton by a guy called stewert. i would definitly recomend him. he has his own website which shows some of his work, called funkytat.
Thanks for that, been looking at there stuff. i have also had Magnum Opus recomended to me, run by Phil Kyle who aparently was on London Ink, missed the series so not got to see him in action yet but will check them out along with your recomendation. Also I have a copy of the first draft of what i want, and if anyone mentions David Beckham i will not be happy. Been wanting this years before he ever got inked.

i have one similar to the beckham one on my back, without wings, just floating. my was done in black and shaded and was done at inktruzion in crawley and the detail is perfect and was done in 2.5 hours and cost £130, with the wings i would probably add on another 1.5 hours. they have a website with images. the tattoist is called lee and i would definitly use him again.
As long as the cover-up you are having done is not that one on your back 😀
no the cover up is on my arm
