My original post on a different forum:

Hey there folks!

I’ve had this idea for quite a while, and I will be starting to get it done next week:
Do you remember how in cartoons when someone was contemplating on doing something, two advisers, an angel and a devil, would pop up and advise him what to do? Thats the basic idea.
I wanted to put these on my forearms. This is more or less what I wanted them to be like: http://algorithmic.deviantart.com/art/A-Fly-In-The-Dark-103287781
But in perhaps a pin-up girl style.
What do you think about the idea? Placement? Execution?

Thanks!

Now, I’ve thought I’d add more reference to make my idea a little more clear:
If I’d give up the upwards-extended wings, it’d probably look something like this or perhaps even like this.
A few more examples with a similar idea/theme: here, here, here, here and here.
This one is a little different, but could also be transformed into the idea

If it were me I would get them both on the same appendage. Your idea would work if those were the only tattoos you get on your arms. But as you get more tattoos on your arms those tattoos will lose there symbolism. Get one on top of your forearm and one on the bottom then you could turn it into a sleeve. Make sure you get a good artist.
