So I’ve burnt out when it comes to coming up with my own ideas for the first half of my sleeve. I want something really colorful and I dont want anymore text (unless its small) something that’s new school style and show quality, so its time to call in someone else to help.

I have a few sketchy ideas on a few meanings I want to incorporate but other than that I’m open to any and all suggestions. Apparently I’m not allowed to post attachments (assuming its because of my total noob status) otherwise I would be able to post a pic of the tattoo on my shoulder that’s more or less the starting point for the design.

Anyone interested in getting a good wack of credit for the design at future Australian shows or anyone serious who thinks they can give me a hand just PM me.

It’s better to research an artist you like in your area and take your idea to them to have them sketch it up instead of asking random people in a forum. Lucky for you you have great choices in artists in Australia. Graham Moore, sam clark, Fabian de galliande come to mind. Also if you don’t mind traveling to new Zealand, Erin chance is one of my favorite female artists.

Another option you have is to check out the rites of passage tattoo convention in australia. Lots of the worlds best artists go to that convention.

Unfortunately I cant, I have 1 artist who’s done 80% of my work, but she’s 1200km away. She’s happy to do my sleeve as I’ll be travelling up there for a couple of days just for the ink, but I wont be there long enough for her to design my tattoo. I need to find someone who can draw to get the design done and then take it up with me when I see her. Hence the random post on a random forum for a random person to help lol

I could, but I’d rather find someone whos ‘specialty’ is new school style. She’s good don’t get me wrong, but she specializes in realistic/black and white. She’ll be able to tattoo a new school design no worries but I want that expertise in the style to get the design if you know what I mean.

Kate Brown. I think there’s a rather dated website if you google casino tattoo NSW, or she’s on facebook.

edit: i cant believe i left out one of the best from aus, chris nieves! and mick squires!

Any idea why?

I’ve seen that his wife updates his instagram with sketches that he posts to her. Bloody amazing artist he is.

I guess it’s a trust thing with Kate. But having thought on it, maybe it’s time to branch out a bit. I’ve looked up the names you dropped, all of them are a fair distance from me, though Mick squires is the closest. Sam Clark is awesome but his contact details aren’t valid and he’s no longer based in Sydney ๐Ÿ™ can you recommend an artist in Sydney? I can find reviews for whole studios but not the artists themselves. I’m looking at the illustrated man, kaleidoscope, the steel lotus and inner vision studio but I’ve never heard of the artists there (though that doesn’t mean a great deal lol) I figure if I can get one in Sydney I can put the flight $ into the ink instead

I’ve been tattooed at both kaleidoscope and inner vision. Kaleidoscope is better in my opinion, check out their website and see if there’s anyone there you like. All the artists there are good.

The illustrated man is a rough bikie shop which is fine if you don’t mind that.

If you’re willing to drive to the central coast, STR body mods is a good shop. Again all the artists there are good, check out Sophia baughan. The guys at STR are on Facebook
