Hey everyone, I’m getting a tattoo soon and I’m exploring the idea of robots for it:

I’m looking for something that’s kind of GIR-esque (Invader Zim) but not as cartoony. I like really slim and complex robots, something artistic, not just a stupid robot tattoo. I’m talking about the similar detail to Keith Thompson (http://www.keiththompsonart.com/robots.html), and I like his robots a lot but they’re a tad bit chunky and too combat oriented. Anyone go any ideas for artists or would like to try sketching some stuff out?

Another influence I’m looking for at to include as part of this is Jamie Hewlett of the Gorillaz, I really like how he draws the character “2D” (http://cdnl3.livevideo.com/image/44/371344/516952_pm.jpg) kind of slim and sad looking all the time. I’d like to translate that attitude to a robot with similar body proportions, maybe slumped or something.
