older & more successful.? This is a fictional film. The older man has a girlfriend, also an artist, who supports him. He also has an agent, a camp Englishman. I particularly recall teh agent getting the older artist a big exhibition, explaining the terms to his client, and dancing off to the strains of “I am a pirate king!” from “The Pirates of Penzance”. The older guy looks like Goldblum; the girl like an Arquette – but god knows who any of them are. Great stuff though. 1980s or early 90s I think.
