I lived in Columbia, SC and went to high school listening to WUSC from 1994 to 1998. Some time during that span I heard WUSC play this awesome Scottish-sounding tune a LOT.

The song had bagpipes and other traditional instruments with a modern rock flair. There was a young woman singing in a fast cadence. The closest sound I have heard yet is “Maxine’s Polka” by Shooglenifty. It may be from the earliest two Shooglenifty albums but I can’t listen to them on iTunes to know for sure.

    It’s PLAGUING ME!

    So, in conclusion:
What is the name of the Scottish-sounding rock song with the female vocalist that was played a great deal on WUSC 90.5 FM in Columbia, SC between the years of 1994 and 1998?!?
