    I’ve seen a lot of disputes regarding these bands as metal or not…or do these bands simply are influenced by metal?
    Lawl…AIC and RATM came long before the nu-metal craze.
    Should have also mentioned Disturbed, many believe they’re heavy metal now due to their third album containing more metal elements.

    I view most of those as just hard rock, but not trivium, slipknot.

    The old classification game, always fun. You could consider all the bands listed as metal. Some are heavier than others but all could be played on a metal station without much debate. Also I am curious how anyone could call AIC nu-metal when the term wasn’t even invented until Linkin Park & Limp Bizkit.
