Just wanted to check in with the forum members from Iceland

Everyone ok?

What about your Brits? When I talked to people there on Friday they said there was no sign in the air of volcanic ash

Anything visible now?

We’re still good here. It’s beginning to hurt livestock and harvest though.

Here are some pics.

The bottom two are both in color, taken with the same camera in about the same place. The first is taken day before yesterday, the latter is taken yesterday. :S

I wish! I still haven’t had the chance to go up there and shoot some pics. They’re just assorted news photos.

I wonder is it OK to start telling jokes about this yet or should I wait for the dust settle a bit first?

There could be an explosion of protest, followed by a devastating earthquake of opposition, and finally a hot burial of the thread if you did tell jokes :p

Take Care

“The last wishes of the now deceased Icelandic Economy, were that their ashes should be spread over Europe”

This was posted the day after the eruption… it’s never too soon to make fun of the situation. 😉

Oh, more awesome pictures: http://www.swisseduc.ch/stromboli/perm/iceland/eyafallajokull_20100416-en.html

You know from a professional job perspective as a fraud investigator…

First Iceland takes a major dip in the economy and many banks declare themselves bankrupt.

Then you set fire to your country with a volcano.

This has to be the biggest insurance fraud ever! :p

Go global arson!

Take care
Matthew
