THE MAD HATTER’S REMAINS… YES, IT DOES!

The leaflet announced it as “The 3rd Hatter Remains Reunion.” Yep, and contrary to reports to the contrary, including an obit for the event that I wrote, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party survives. Or rather, as organizer Deana Lippins has dubbed it: “The Mad Hatter Remains.” For a while it looked like the annual Portland, Maine gathering was going to fade. After its twentieth year, founder Lou Robbins sent out a mailing calling it quits. Lou, then approaching his ninetieth summer, cited competition from other tattoo events and a fall off in attendance as reasons to “pack his tent,” and for that year there was, in fact, no Mad Hatter’s….read the rest in Baxter’s Blog
