Hi everyone,

This summer I’ll be going to South Africa and I’m hoping to get my next tattoo while I’m out there. I already have two tattoos (a shooting star on my shoulder, and 6 butterflies on my wrist), but I need some help coming up with a design for my third one. Basically what I want is as follows:

A charm bracelet, around my right ankle, or just above it, with various symbols representing my heritage linked together- not necessarily by a traditional looking linked up bracelet-

What I don’t want is something chunky like this: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2458/3929155319_acc8c3bfb4.jpg

I quite like the idea of flowing lines between each symbol. like this http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pVrRRM02s48/TAokkOzXwpI/AAAAAAAAARg/ZSx1PM-kKlo/s1600/2070_n.jpg

Or more subtle links like these: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-l6ePTddi7Q4/TdUqVt6VDEI/AAAAAAAAE0o/LsX9ETnD1RE/s320/ankle-bracelet-tattoos.jpg

I’m also open to something a bit different like this: http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTDF0NgdkUepscPUUf53yKsEEpfUzcONvclDcvVfFhHXaAL-1wUBA or this http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_bQ0SqifjNcg/TGw4_arVbOI/AAAAAAAAbKQ/-l8C7juEKcg/s400/ankle-bracelet-tattoo-2.jpg

The symbols I am thinking of incorporating so far are-
a red butterfly,

a blue rose,

a flame lily http://wwwdelivery.superstock.com/WI/223/1566/X1305/PreviewComp/SuperStock_1566-0185795.jpg

an arabian jasmine flower http://www.asean.org/images/Jasmin_Sambac_-_The_Phi.JPG

possibly a 4 leaf clover and letter M.

In terms of look, I like to have things that are quite whimsical and a bit different to the norm, I’m also interested as to whether it’d be possible to get a metallic effect in some parts of the design.

I’d really appreciate any help that anyone can offer me on this. My tattoos mean a lot to me, I’m just not blessed with any form of artistic talent!!!
