    well it’s been a while since my last tattoo and I am currently in the phase just after the crumblies have wiped off and you get the dry flaky edges around things what I want to know how long this part last I can’t remember how long it took last time but it’s bugging the crap outta me

    should only be about a week and a little bit once it starts doing that….keep it moisturized with whatever you were told to use…

    Just use some fragrance-free lotion or aloe vera gel. This phase generally takes as long as a sunburn takes to heal…but the lotion or alove vera should help the irritating feeling. Bugs the crap outta me too…

    And, this goes without saying, no matter how much it itches, do NOT scratch it. Just rub the lotion on gently. Just the motion of the hand with the soothing lotion should take care of the itch (temporarily).

    This also goes without saying, but for GOD’S SAKE don’t pick at it either. Don’t try to speed up this process because it’s bugging you. Ans if it does itch too bad you can always try tapping (not slapping) it a little bit. Be gentle with your new ink…better some bother now than having a crappy looking tattoo!
